"Pros: This place is gorgeous. We arrived in the dark after a long hike to get there and woke up to the best views of the river, right from our room! Ken san was the most friendly host we had in Japan and served us two beautiful meals that were a great balance of being Japanese but Western friendly. The room was traditional Japanese with futons etc which was fun for us because we hadn’t done that before. Futons were plenty comfortable. Cons: A bit expensive? But it’s in a small town - maybe that’s just the price of lodging during leaf season. This was the only option we found so we went for it. So glad we did though!!" ~Markel
