"Pros: A Perfect Stay in Akita – A True Japanese Home Experience I had an absolutely wonderful and restful time at this guest house in Akita. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the comfort and excellent facilities. The accommodation offered a true taste of a traditional Japanese home, with a ground floor room featuring a cozy tatami mattress, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private bathroom and shower—all exclusively for my use. It was the perfect blend of authenticity and convenience. The fridge was thoughtfully stocked with food, which made settling in even easier. What truly set this place apart, however, was the outstanding hospitality. Koha-san, the host, went above and beyond in every way. Not only was the house spotlessly cleaned every day, but Koha-san also offered incredibly generous support throughout my stay. He drove me to the Catholic Church so I could attend Mass, took me to visit the beautiful shrine of Our Lady of Akita, Seitai Hoshikai brought me to the relaxing Akita Onsen Plaza, and even dropped me off at Akita Station—all free of charge. He also gave excellent suggestions for the best Hanami spots, ensuring I experienced the cherry blossoms at their finest. His kindness and dedication made my visit truly unforgettable.
