"Pros: This house is beautiful. Old and full of charm. It's out of the way (you'll need a car to get to it) but that's part of its appeal. The staff were friendly (they cook/prepare the dinner if you opted for it) but didn't overstay their welcome. The area around the house is wonderful from someone used to cities in Japan more than anything else. Cons: Honestly the only thing I didn't like was that there were only 2 chairs for relaxing. There was a dining area but its not entirely suitable for relaxation. The beds were futons (but thick cushy ones) so also not appropriate for relaxing (upright). The street to get to it is also quite skinny (larger car will have trouble) but thats not something they can control (just a warning)" ~Peter

"Pros: The house was lovely, and perfect for a secluded, relaxed stay near Mt fuji. The surrounding valley is beautiful and only a short drive from lots of hikes, lakes, and Mt fuji itself. We stayed 2 nights but could definitely have stayed more" ~Miles
