"Pros: Room above a coffee shop next to the train station, which made it very convenient to reach the pagoda. Lovely views of Mount Fuji from multiple locations in the town as well, and a variety of restaurants. Note many of them get busy so reservations are helpful. As noted in other reviews, it is not technically a private toilet, but pretty close - it is shared between the coffee house staff and the guest room during business hours (10-5). Coffee house customers have a different toilet available during those hours. The room itself is a traditional 16-tatami room with futons.
Cons: I wish the coffee shop opened earlier! The menu looks excellent. Not only do they have the traditional Japanese comfort food of curry rice, they also have the local speciality of udon that looks amazing."

"Pros: Villas Asama no Iori was booked because we wanted accommodation with views of Mount Fuji and it was amazing! They were uninterrupted views from the dining room upstairs as well as one of the downstairs bedrooms, which we enjoyed throughout our stay. We were travelling with 6 family and/or friends and had hired 2 motor vehicles, so the 2 carparks included with the villa were very convenient. The property was located adjacent to Arakurayama Sengen Park, which can be busy throughout the day, but it also provides an opportunity to visit the park and enjoy it further at sunrise and sunset which we did."

"Pros: It is a 2-storeys traditional Japanese house and it is huge!! Love every corner of the house; the decoration, the design is very unique. This is our first experience staying in a traditional Japanese house, with futon beds, tatami floors and also with the real bamboo-paper walls. The living room, dining area, and kitchen is very spacious. The two bedrooms allocated for us (2 adults + 2 kids + 1 infant) were very comfortable, but we only used the room at downstairs. It is recommended for those coming to Fujiyoshida by car because the house's location is not public-transport friendly. Definitely will stay here again in future for our Fuji-san trip since the kids love this house so much!
Cons: There is no instruction on how to use the kitchen stove. I've messaged the property via Booking.com but never received a reply from them. But it is okay, we just used the microwave oven to prepare our simple meals."
