Located at the foot of Mount Fuji and surrounded by trees, Shikitei offers cottages with traditional architecture and a Japanese Irori hearth. Guests can enjoy an outdoor barbecue or arrange for outdoor activities. Fujisan Train Station is a 5-minute drive away. Guests can rent out an entire cottage, which features a kitchen, a private garden and a terrace. Rooms have Western beds or Japanese futon bedding, a flat-screen TV and an en suite bathroom. Some cottages come with a Hinonki cypress wooden bath. In-room massages and facials can be requested for an extra cost and bicycle rentals are available. Guests can experience horse riding, farming and craft-making at Fujisan Farm. Free parking is available on-site. Japanese hot-pots or barbecues are available for dinner and a Western set menu for breakfast. All meals are served at the dining room or the terrace of each guests’ cottage. Shikitei Inn is a 15-minute drive from Lake Kawaguchi and Lake Yamanaka. Fujikyu Highland is a 20-minute drive away.
