"Pros: This is a small and very traditional Inn and Ryokan with 4 private Hot Spring baths - 2 inside within the hotel and another 2 outside just a few steps up some stairs. The baths were amazing and the rental process is incredibly easy (just take a wooden block at the entrance - no list or registration). The baths are open 24h so the worst case is, you have to wait a little. They ask guests to not stay in each bath longer than 60min at a time (but the water is way too hot for this anyway!) The rooms are cute with real tatami (as far as I could tell). The futon was comfy for me but it's still on the floor so be prepared! Because the house is quite old it gets quite chilly at night inside but the provided blankets keep you warm. If you want to have a very traditional experience and a nice hot bath for a very reasonable price, this is the place for you! Cons: The entire building is visibly old and traditional but in my opinion it just adds to the charm. Just don't expect anything fancy or new. Food options in the vicinity are limited! The amazing little Cafe and Restaurant on the opposite side of the street sold out of food after serving us what was left at around 7:30pm (But I highly recommend going there!)" ~Nadine
