"Pros: Nice town with many shops and very walkable. Nice path to walk along the river. Great cooking lesson at Sankaido confectionery shop. Food plan provided great meals, but we would like to have had a few meals in town. Transportation to and from Kagaonsen train station was free and very convenient. Room was spacious with a nice sitting area. Cons: Meals ( breakfast and dinner) were a bit heavy for 5 days in a row. We would have liked some lighter fare on occasion." ~David
