"Pros: Yes, the hotel is a bit dated but that adds to the charm. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable and have everything you need. The real reason to stay here is the elderly lady who runs the place. Very welcoming despite the language barrier (google translate is a great help) and goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great stay. The free private onsen and complentary simple breakfast is a bonus too. If you want genuine Japanese hospitality away from the chain hotels this is the place. Ps, get the izakaya tip from the elderly lady which is about 10 min walk away. Great food and drink at a reasonable price in a traditional Japanese boozer. Cons: Nout" ~David
