"Pros: Staff at checkin location is sweet n helpful!. Nice little house, spacious with amenities supplied. Good acidic onsen with glass window overloong the canopy of trees. Heater provided in one of the rooms. There is a patio with sliding see through panels where one can sit and enjoy the view and not be attacked by bugs. Further down of the patio, steps take you to a platform where there's a picnic table right next to tree tops.windows all tipical japanese style with 3 sliding types of panels for light, netting and dark out louvres to keep the 4am light out of the bedrooms.. sheets very soft and clean. Clothes drying equipment very good in the room with the heater.
Location of house is convenient if you have a car. Easy access to Yobatake and combini nearby
Cons: Check-in was at a different location, abt 2km away from property.
The bathroom is cold cold cold as no heating is provided there. I was very frustrated with the water mixer for sink n shower as the temperature is too hot and the cold tap didn't give a single drop of cold water ;(
Had to scoop out onsen water ( after I had adjusted the temperature) to use as shower water. The clothes washer worked one time and then the machine refused to work for subsequent loads. Dining chairs.....argh!!!!! Please trash those lousy chairs and put in some decent sturdy ones!!! The fake Eames chairs were so wonky and creaked so bad on the vinyl flooring it was very annoying. I ended up fixing some of the chairs by tightening the screws to save me some angst. Box spring beds were not very comfortable. The lightweight pullstring paper lamp would swing and clink when the ac was on and blowing on it. Again, i had to swing the string to a position where the swinging wouldn't cause the clinking.
Not enough hooks or rails for towels, no bidet in toilet (they do provide a packet of flushable wipes)" ~Hawtmael
