"Pros: Very cozy room with a really friendly hostess. The hostess prepared a meal for me despite the restaurant being closed. In fact, all the restaurants in the viscinity were closed and it was raining heavily, so that was kind of a life-saver. I was in the area mostly to visit the Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine, and for that the location is as good as it gets. Buses go from Takamori station to the hotel every hour, but you could also walk (about 3.5 km). Shared bathroom and shower/bath, but I never noticed any of the other guest ( if there were any ). Everything was clean. The only issue was that only a tiny towel was provided. If you can, bring your own. Should be higher rated than it currently is, very nice place with a nice atmosphere." ~Maarten

"Pros: The Atmoshpere and vibes of the place, completely immersed in the woods. The owner was a great and funny host with a unique personality, very happy to share tips for surrounding areas and places for eat and stay. A car is recommended, or alternatively you must be a good hiker. The facilities have shared barhrooms and sinks with other guests, very good for hikers or lovers of mountain refuges. It has a small onsen bath (also sa shared). NOTE: the place is surrounded by trees, which means some insects might inevitably make it inside the common spaces." ~Emanuele
