"Pros: I was travelling over 2 weeks, skiing in the day and working in the evening thanks to the 9 hour time difference. The location is a 5 minute walk to the bus stop to get up to the Grand Hirafu Welcome centre and the Ace Gondola so close enough to everything you need, but in a quiet side street. Facilities are excellent, including the washer dryer, this is the first ski trip I am not taking home dirty laundry! The room was excellent, clean and comfortable, and once I had got used to the Japanese heating systems in the property I had a very comfortable stay. Kutchan has some great bars and restuarants, and the prices are much better than in the main resorts of Niseko. Cons: Japanese houses are very basic construction and the lack of soundproofing is a minor challenge if the person in the room next to you snores like an elephant!" ~Nathan
