Yumotokan Hotel offers comfortable Japanese-style rooms with views of Lake Biwa. It features indoor and open-air hot-spring baths and free shuttle service from JR Ogoto Onsen Station. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property. The Japanese-style rooms have tatami (woven-straw) flooring with modern furnishings and futon bedding. Each room features a private bathroom with a bathtub made of Cypress wood, filled with hot water from the local hot spring. Yumotokan Ryokan has several spacious indoor baths. It also offers rooftop outdoor baths offering panoramic views of Ogoto Town and the surrounding mountains. Hotel Yumotokan is a 5-minute drive from JR Ogoto-Onsen Train Station and a 10-minute drive from JR Hieizan Sakamoto Train Station. It is a 20-minute train ride from Kyoto and a 90-minute train ride from UNESCO World Heritage Site of Nara.

Guests with tattoos may not be permitted to use the property’s public bathing areas or other facilities where the tattoos might be visible to other guests. Guests must check in by 19:30 to eat dinner at this property. Guests who check in after this time may not be served dinner, and no refund will be given. In response to Coronavirus (COVID-19), additional safety and sanitation measures are in effect at this property. Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), please ensure that you are only booking this property following the local government guidelines of the destination, including but not limited to the purpose of travel, and maximum allowed group size. Please note that free shuttle services are available until 19:00. Guests without a dinner plan who wish to include dinner additionally must contact the property in advance. The property cannot prepare dinner if you request it after arrival. Please also note that there is no restaurant nearby. Please note that child rates are applicable to children 5 years and younger. Guests with children must inform the property in advance. A deposit via PayPal is required to secure guest reservations. The property will contact the guests after booking on instructions about payment. Guests must make the payment via PayPal within the instructed date or guest reservations will be cancelled.
