"Pros: The host was very kind and helpful, as they were able to translate everything for me, as an English speaker. They provided excellent instructions, particularly for how to pay for parking. Cons: It is quite difficult to operate certain appliances (like the heater) since everything was in Japanese :( I think for foreign tourists, it would be nice if there were pictures or notes with English translations. Because I did not understand the heater controls, it was always set on high, and I had to turn it off once the apartment got too hot." ~Ed
