"Pros: We had a really great stay at Ananda Village! It felt more like staying at a friend’s home than at a hotel. The rooms were cozy, clean, and nicely designed. Breakfasts were a big highlight – we’re vegan and still got delicious, thoughtful meals each morning, which we really appreciated. We also took a yoga class in the studio, which was amazing. We're beginners, and the class was carefully tailored to our level – relaxing, not too hard, and just an awesome overall experience. On top of that, the host was so kind and welcoming, and we really enjoyed learning about life on the island through the stories shared with us. Cons: The only thing to note is that Ananda Village is located in the south of the island, which is a bit far from the main towns and most popular trekking spots. We’d recommend coming with a car if you can. We didn’t have one, but managed to use the bus that’s about an 8-minute walk away – it worked, but of course, having a car would have made exploring easier." ~Ilona
