Built over 100 years ago, Ikariya Ryokan offers Japanese-style rooms in a traditional wooden building. Guest can request for massages or relax in the stone and wooden public hot-spring baths. Yudanaka Train Station is a 10-minute drive away. Guests sleep on tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. A TV, fridge and a safety deposit box are included in all air-conditioned rooms. Guests can make green tea with the electric kettle and wear Japanese Yukata robes. Bathrooms and toilets are shared. Guests can enjoy drinking free coffee by the traditional Irori hearth in the lounge. Dry cleaning and photocopying service are provided at the front desk. Ski equipment rentals can be requested as well. A Japanese breakfast and dinner are served at the dining room, and at times in the guests’ rooms. Ryokan Ikariya is a 10-minute drive from Snow Monkey Park and a 20-minute walk from Heiwa Kannon. Shiga Kohen Ski Resort is a 20-minute drive away.

Guests with tattoos may not be permitted to use the property’s public bathing areas or other facilities where the tattoos might be visible to other guests. Please inform Ikariya Ryokan in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
