"Pros: Fantastic hosts! They live there as well and they treat you like family. Exceptionally big, delicious, hearty and varied breakfast - tell the owners your food preferences and allergies and they will consider them. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is quiet, with private parking, and not far away from the city centre. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and it will be our first choice when visiting Aluksne again." ~Sirle

"Pros: The layout of the apartment was quite ok, we could park our car next to the house free, the aparment had almost all we needed to make breakfast and evening snack, it was quite nicely renovated - very different to the exterior of the house. Ok accommodation, would have given better rating if the apartment had been warmer. Cons: The apartment was cold in the beginning of october because the heating was not on and it was quite chilly outside. That's why the overall experience was not as comfortable as we expected. The shower was not cleaned properly, there was hair in the plughole and the water did not go to the drain well because of that. It's not nice to stand in a pool full of soapy water during You take a shower. The refigerator would have needed smelting and a good cleaning also. The sink in the kitchen was troublesome to use because of how it was located. The kitchen table could have been a bit larger." ~Arto
