"Pros: The apartment is situated in a nice safe neighborhood (the Ukrainian embassy is just down the street), close to bus and trams and several grocery stores within walking distance, even for a seventy year old like me. The old town is a twenty minute walk away, even quicker by mass transit. And one of the ubiquitous Narvesens (the Latvian 7/11) is just down the block, where you can get bus tickets, sim cards and the usual odds and ends. All in all, a good location and a great bargain. Cons: Just a personal pet peeve, but there is no functioning clock in the apartment. I tend to dawdle, so to keep myself on track I need to know what time it is on a regular basis. Without a clock, I have to keep checking my phone. But, that's just me." ~Thomas
