"Pros: What an amazing place for families: so many activities. Andrejs gave us lots of recommendations, including kayaking through the national park and my kids (aged 9 and 12) especially loved the local Tarzans Amusement park and Cesis castle. The house is located next to a small zoo and it was really fun to walk through the park after hours. Andrejs also gave us the name of a bike rental company but we ran out to time. The apartment is very spacious and we loved the sauna and then (a few brave souls) jumped into the pond afterwards. The house is very peaceful (forest all around) and Andrejs is the perfect host; exceptionally accommodating of our numerous requests and questions! We'd had a very busy vacation so it was nice to slow down for a few days and relax; We'd love to visit again. Cons: Andrejs lives in a lower unit of the house; we typically rent entire vacation houses because we worry about the kids being loud but I don't think it was a problem and the yard was enormous so there was a ton of room to run around outside." ~Sonja
