The aircraft used for seaplane operation are De Havilland DHC-6 Twin Otter Aircraft, and it is designed for water landing and as such their flying times are restricted to daylight hours by the Aviation Authority of the Maldives. The international flight needs to arrive in Male before 15:00 and If your international flight departs from Male before 9:00, you may have to leave the resort the night before in order to be able to connect with your international flight. The resort is approximately 35 minutes from Velana International Airport. Although there is likely to be a certain waiting time until your seaplane departure, we endeavor to facilitate the shortest interval possible. Rest assured though that Madifushi team will be on hand to host you in the comfort of seaplane lounge with food and beverages on offer until your seaplane boarding time. Flight schedules are finalized by the seaplane operator one day prior to the arrival date and are not within the resort’s control.
