"Pros: I loved the location. I love Birgu. It is an incredible place to stay. It's way better than Valetta. Quiet, chic, the terrace of the property, the marina, Birgu at night, the people, St Angelo Fort, the restaurants, the cafes near the location. It is incredible. Inquisitor Palace is just one step away. It takes five minutes by boat to Valleta, an enjoyable and scenic ride. The communication with Annalise was smooth and very helpful. "Pros: Domingo x Casa Norte looks fantastic from the photos, but believe me it’s way more better in reality. Casa Norte combines the modern and the classic style, and it feels so nice to stay at it. The traditional balcony really stood out for us. It felt so calm to drink your morning espresso while enjoying the alley view. "Pros: The location is absolutely superb! It’s located in a nice and quiet alley in Birgu. There are shops and restaurants nearby on the Piazza and if you walk to the waterfront there are a couple more there. You can take the little gondolas from the harbour straight to Valletta (€2 pp) or you can take the ferry boat from the other side of the harbour (€1.50 pp for a single trip), which includes a trip on the lift straight up to a lovely viewpoint in Valletta. The property has everything you need, including a cute little balcony. The kitchen has plenty of cutlery, pots & pans, plates, etc. It also has a cute breakfast table. The bed in the bedroom is very comfy and everything was very clean. There are fans, air conditioning and a heater to accommodate for all weather conditions. The location of the property makes that you don’t get any sun into the apartment, so it’s nice and cool when you come home in the evening to allow you to sleep without being crazy warm. The apartment also gives plenty of wardrobe space and a chest of drawers. There are plenty of towels in the drawers and even some beach towels, in case your forgot yours. At the end of your visit you can put them all in the laundry basket in the bathroom. Cons: The oven didn’t work. We tried to use it on our last evening and it blew a fuse. The fuse box is downstairs, so not a major issue, but we couldn’t use the oven. There was 1x socket on the right hand side of the bed not working, but there’s plenty of sockets throughout, so also not a big issue. Some lights weren’t working, which made the kitchen slightly darker then we wanted, but there was still enough light to do what you need to do in a kitchen. There is no Netflix available on the television, even though the property is advertised as having Netflix. We found out that the TV had been changed. The welcome folder also needs updating. These are all minor details and definitely didn’t make our stay any less pleasant!" ~Cynthia

"Pros: Good location! Good hot shower! Nicer room than pictures! Air conditioner works very well! Many towels in the room comfortable! Clean! The owner is so kind and good person ! When arriving in Malta airport, we were so exhausted because of long flight, long time no shower and hot temperature. I texted the owner and requested early check-in even if we would pay extra fee. She willingly accepted our request and gave us check-in procedure! Very kind! Actually we paid no extra fee. First day, wifi was perfectly down. I explained the owner this problem through whatapp. She and her husband came to us at the night and fixed. They were good staff ! Finally you can go upstairs rooftop to see nice view! We went upstairs in the morning with a cup of tea! Soooo nice! Cons: There was no super market around here only mini store but we couldn't find it and also seemed to be closed around 7pm. We bought food and drinks when we visited Valletta and slima." ~Marty

"Pros: Near to Birgu main square, quiet but historical area. Prices are moderate in the oldtown, without overturism. From the bay there is option to find boat to Valletta. ... And good bus connections from the fortress gate. Recommended restaurant is d'Centre. The room has nice decorations, and the building is really romantic inside-outside. Very helpfull owner is avaiable via whatsapp. You can leave your bag after check out till You leave Malta. Good wifi. Well equipped room. Cons: Noises from next rooms sound over their doors. Some guests go up and down to the common kitchen to the topfloor. The double bed is small for 2 persons. Controlling the TV is complicated." ~Venetian2023
