"Pros: What a gorgeous and peaceful place! Very tastefully appointed and the location (a steep but short walk from the beach) affords a birds' eye view of the ocean below--including whales! Fresh& delicious breakfast and friendly staff. Our cabin was cozy, the bed very comfortable& we loved sleeping to the sound of the waves. Thank you for everything!! We hope to come back again!"

"Pros: Beautiful, spacious terrace overlooking the sea; the two bedrooms are separated well. The little pool is lovely for a refreshing dip. Very close/convenient to the nicest beach in the area for swimming and body surfing. Very warm host and attentive staff.
Cons: There were quite a lot of ants that had to be swept away (part of being in nature, but a bit annoying); there is no light over or next to the table on the terrace; the bed mattresses were quite thin/old and not very comfortable (for adults); no beach towels; no knife in the kitchen for cutting/preparing food."

"Pros: La Joya is a bit of a hidden gem at the top of a steep street. Luckily there's a small parking lot up there, and the relative isolation is great if you like to be removed a bit from the noise of the village underneath. We enjoyed the clean swimming pool, fast wifi, and very well equipped kitchen.
Cons: You will need a car to get there, so plan for this. SUVs are probably too large for the available parking space, so ask before booking. We would've liked some kind of room cleaning service but that was not offered. It would also be nice if the largest suite's terrace was not empty: no chair, no hammock, nothing."

"Pros: Amazing place with a stunning view over San Augustinillo, so peaceful. We had two rooms - the family room (really big with fab terrace but no air con and internet was not working) and the quadruple (smaller but still nice - nicer / brighter than pictures - and with air con / internet). Great pool and breakfast (though not available every day, but loads of options nearby). We loved it, highly recommended.
Cons: As above. Small things but no deal breaker. We wish we had stayed longer"
