"Pros: Great place to stay when visiting the monarch butterfly reserves (both the larger el Rosario and the Sierra Chincua sanctuaries are ~39 minute drive away). Cabanas are as pictured - cute (lit up with fairy lights at night), spacious, clean, and comfortable if a bit rustic and bare-bones. Onsite restaurant was surprisingly good, it was nice to not have to drive to town for meals. Staff spoke very little English but was kind and helpful. Cons: No heating or insulation, so during our February stay the temperature inside our room was 50 F when we would get out of bed. Hot water was a bit spotty (showers would start off hot then become lukewarm), and you have to turn the water on and wait for five minutes for hot water, so when not showering we basically were using frigid water for washing hands and faces. Wifi also spotty, was completely unavailable one evening." ~Homer
