"Pros: The location of the apartment is simply excellent. It’s not the first building by the sea, but the view from the second and third floors was stunning. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was amazing. The apartment is very spacious, and you’ll feel free and comfortable everywhere. There are two huge terraces where you can spend hours enjoying the sea and the sun. The shopping mall is less than a 10-minute walk away, and the grocery store is about a 30-minute walk in the other direction. If you don’t feel like walking, a regular Uber ride will take you there or back for $5–6. The beach in front of the apartment is pure delight. There are several permanent umbrellas and loungers, which are almost always available for your use. Since there are no large hotels nearby, you can enjoy almost complete privacy. At the same time, all the perks of Cancun’s beaches, such as white sand and clear waters, are still at your disposal. Cons: I didn’t receive the code for the lockbox until I was already in front of the door. Fortunately, I had mobile internet, but overall, this is a poor practice. Tourists from other countries often don’t have internet access. The maintenance of the apartment leaves much to be desired. It feels like no one is really taking care of it. For instance, none of the sinks in the bathrooms drain properly. While we were staying, water was regularly dripping from the ceiling, and the electricity in the kitchen kept going out (I hope this gets fixed before the next guest). There are scratches, rust, and other signs of wear and tear everywhere. All of this dampens the overall impression of the apartment. If you arrive in the evening, be prepared for the fact that there won’t be anything in the apartment (no oil, sugar etc) — not even a basic bottle of water, which I consider a standard in a hot climate tourism. Tired after your flight, you’ll have to figure out where to get these essentials. There’s a Circle K across the street where you can find basic items." ~Mikhail
