"Pros: This riad is right in the centre of the medina, in a great position. Inside it has so much potential to be a beautiful property. The space worked well for our family of seven.
Cons: The riad is in need of a lot of TLC. It is very interesting inside but has loads of narrow stairs. The kitchen is very small but the holiday maker has total use of it. The bedroom on the top floor had no hot water. We were on the floor below & had a trickle of warm water. There is very poor light in the bathrooms & using our torch could see to take a wash. The tiles in the shower were in need of a good scrub. The light in the laundry did not work. There were loose floor tiles on the second floor. It seems the owner is not interested which is such a shame. With some lover & attention & care for the guests, this could be a winner." ~Ron
"Pros: The young men who ran the riad were fantastic - nothing was too much trouble. We were escorted to & from the riad from/to our taxi which they had organised for us. The riad is traditionally furnished , very clean & comfortable with a great breakfast served on the terrace. Very quiet.
Cons: We opted to be taken to a restaurant on the first night. The food was good but it was obviously set up only for tourists which we would not choose ourselves. We booked a walking tour of Fez for the first day to familiarise ourselves with the location but the guide was keen to take us to places where we might spend money - we were not comfortable with this even though he was not too pushy." ~Linda
