"Pros: Even if the apartment is located in a building dating probably from the 1980s in Ville Nouvelle, a lot of effort has been made to recreate the atmosphere of a luxury dwelling in the Medina. Excellent location: train station can be reached even on foot in 15-20 minutes, while Borj Fes shopping mall (with a big Carrefour supermarket open till 10 PM) is also a 15 minutes walk away. Petit taxi rank is almost in front of the house. Good interaction with Mr.Abdel who acts as caretaker; he lives on the floor bellow, speaks a fluent French and English and is always ready to help you (he can also find the car and the driver for excursions around Fes at a reasonable price). Very clean. Well equipped kitchen, suitable for some light cooking. Excellent WiFi.
Cons: Location of the apartment isn't indicated correctly on booking.com. In fact, the building is located exactly opposite from the place where booking.com says it is. As in the building there are several staircases, it isn't clear which one leads to the apartment (it's the first on the left as you enter the building). Bad odour coming from the drain in the kitchen and the bathroom (however, it's largely kept under control by plastic covers). A few suggestions to the owner: 1. Make a drawing showing the exact position of the building and indicate the right staircase; 2. Keep the cleaning accessories out of the bath tub and out of sight; 3. Add some toiletries in the bathroom; 4. Replace the battery in the wall clock."
