"Pros: The family that own this place are so friendly and genuine. It felt more like a homestay but they weren't intrusive at all and would do anything for you. Rooms are basic but comfortable. They have Aircon, some people used this for heating but we had an upstairs room and it was warm enough and we were given lots of blankets. Loved being able to sit in the terrace in the daytime. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms clean. Weren't attached to the room but very close by. There was hot water for the showers and we were provided with clean towels. A very good breakfast and they arranged this early for us when we had an early bus. A 5-10 minute walk to the centre of Merzouga and a 5 minute walk to the coach station. We had lunch with them too one day which was a Berber pizza which was very nice. We spent new year there and they made a fire for us and brought us cake and snacks which was really special. We felt like part of the family. We booked our desert trip here through a travel agent associated with this accommodation. It all went to plan and we enjoyed it." ~La_littlejohn
