"Pros: Unlike in some of the larger more corporate run lodges we had a much more intimate experience at Etusis. We were greeted by the host (and their pet meerkat 🙂) and subsequently dined with our hosts and other guests around a single table (eating lovely home cooked food introduced to us by the lodge chef). After dinner we sat outside enjoying the tranquility while watching the bats and a nightjar catch insects in the glow of the waterhole floodlight. Our accommodation was comfortable and private, set within the mature gardens looking out towards nearby hills which we walked within. Our only regret was having booked for one night only. "Pros: Uitkijk Farm is a little gem! We enjoyed everything about our stay here - from the spacious room and comfortable bed, to the delicious lamb stew and braai. The quality of the meat was incredible. Breakfasts were also delicious. The location is great with view down the hill of many types of animals. There are 2 pools to chill out by. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Many thanks in particular to Susan who made us feel very welcome and to Francois who helped us out with car trouble and braaied an amazing dinner for us. We will definitely come back should we ever be back in the area!" ~Kim
