"Pros: The staff were very friendly, helpful and seemed happy to be working there.
Within easy walking distance (five minutes) of the museums and the tram into the city centre and tram to the Keukenhof shuttle-bus.
The breakfast had a good range of options and the made-to-order pancakes were superb.
The 'superior' room we had was roomy and well-equipped, with a sensibly laid-out en-suite shower wet-room. The bathroom extractor fan stopped when the light was switched off, meaning the sound from it didn't disturb sleep for longer than was necessary.
Cons: As in many hotels, the room was too warm on the first night and we had to leave the wall-mounted air-conditioning unit on its coolest setting all day while we were out to get the room cool enough to sleep in; although it is to be expected in a busy area like this, there was a lot of noise from the street very early in the mornings from 7 am, so having the windows open wasn't really an option. We would stay at Hotel Fita again, but would request a room off the street if possible. This is the first time we've come across a hotel room safe which was loose in a cupbiard and not secured to the wall from the inside. The prices for the room and breakfast seemed very expensive for what we got, in comparison with our experiences in other cities, for example, Vienna, however it seems that this is in keeping with Amsterdam in general, especially in April." ~Nina
"Pros: Lovely little hotel with a great location. A couple of nice breakfast options around. The rooms were super clean and the staff were so helpful!!
Cons: Everything was great!" ~Eleni
