"Pros: Beautiful and well equipped little house at the water side. Quiet and relaxing location. Lovely friendly staff. Comfortable beds and plenty of seating both inside and out. Storage for bikes and possible to rent a boat (could even just come by boat and not bring a car at all). Balk itself is a great little town with good restaurants and bars and a good range of shops. Perfect place for cycling around Friesland Cons: Sadly we had to leave and won't get to see the butterfly borders develop or how the seasons change. Sitting on the deck on a cold crisp day would be a delight" ~Matthew
