"Pros: The hotel is located in a pretty historical building overlooking the canal/river.
I had booked a single bedroom which was huge and very bright with a great bathroom.
The breakfast was also very good and staff were very polite and helpful and I felt right at home.
A very nice restaurant is downstairs and in summer you can sit outside on a veranda right by the canal.
Location is great as you can explore Leerdam itself (try the Leerdam cheese in one of the local cheese shops) and surroundings.
Cons: If you a re a light sleeper: There is a restaurant downstairs and if your room is right above that it can be noisy and staff seems to be living above some of the rooms so you might hear them, too."
