"Pros: Wonderful host who met us to explain the uniqueness of staying on a house boat. He was also in touch throughout our stay when we had some minor problems. It was fun to experience a different accommodation type that can't be found many parts of the world. The beds were comfortable & clean. Cons: Only downside was a slight diesel smell that apparently is typical of house boats. It was very strong at first but the host investigated & fixed the problem but did say that some smell is normal as the water heater is run off of diesel. Only other point to mention is that this is a boat - you have to walk down a gangway to enter. This was expected but can still be nerve-wracking especially with young children." ~Leah
