"Pros: The room was clean and had all the necessary amenities, including a hairdryer and even a toothbrush kit. Although there was no glass for drinking water in the room, the guesthouse provided access to a kitchen, which could be used at any time. The kitchen was well-equipped with dishes, a refrigerator, and a microwave, and there was also a laundry facility available (though I didn’t use it). There’s a small garden where you can have breakfast or smoke, and there’s a designated smoking area. The location is convenient, close to the station, with a spot to park your bike nearby as well as an underground bike parking option. Overall, the hotel offers good value for the price. Cons: The hotel sends a large number of identical daily emails requesting online registration, which feels overwhelming and unnecessary. I was waiting for my partner’s information before completing the registration. I overlooked the digital key hidden among the repetitive emails after absolutely identical questions, so when you open it, you first see repetitive questions. Upon arrival, I realized that check-in was at 3 PM, even though I arrived at 2 PM, which was my mistake. However, when I called the host for help, it took some time to get a response, and the host spoke to me dismissively and unhelpfully. Instead of listening to me, she repeatedly asked me to check my messages, which were numerous and identical. When I tried to ask for clarification, I felt her attitude was unnecessarily rude. After checking in, I noticed that the radiator in the room barely worked. Thankfully, the air conditioner provided enough heat to keep the room comfortable. However, the bathroom remained cold, a common feature of Dutch houses, so I didn’t mind. When I wanted to check out later than the standard time, I found a note near the bed saying it was possible to check out at noon instead of 10 AM, provided I notified the host in advance. I wrote to the host, only to find out this service was not free, which wasn’t clear from the note. This left me with the impression that the host was unwilling to accommodate me without an extra fee, which felt unfair given the overall tone of our previous interactions." ~Polina

"Pros: The location of this property is amazing. The mattresses were the comfiest we’ve slept on ( away from home ). The decor throughout the kitchen and the shared spaces is beautiful. The room was wonderfully warm, which was very welcome as we had bad weather on our trip . Cons: The apartment advertises parking, but until you’ve paid in full you aren’t aware this is paid. I think the price was fair being in the city centre, but I think this should be cleared up on booking.com that the parking isn’t included in the price of the stay." ~Ckkelly07

"Pros: City Hotel was better than expected! The room was comfy enough, had a small fridge in it, actually the room didn't miss anything! The breakfast was really good and complete, the staff was fabulous, they went out of their way to accommodate any special requests like we had to leave early and they opened the dining area earlier for us, they stowed something in their freezer for us as well and were generally very service minded and pleasant. Location is very central but next to the church, bring some earplugs if bells bother you. would definitely book again! Cons: There was nothing that I did not like. It was a bit noisy because its right next to the nightlife and we stayed Friday & Saturday nights but that would be the only negative point. But I usually stay in a city center for the convenience and am used to it and travel with earplugs. My partner slept right through and was not disturbed...." ~Natasha
