"Pros: The chalet was wonderful, with a great location only 50 m behind the sea defences. There was plenty of space for the four of us. The location was very quiet, with nice neighbours and a few tourists walking past. The rooms were big. We were within one hour of many great places- Harlingen, Hinderloopen, Franaker, and a great local bakery in Tzummarum. Cons: The were a few light bulbs missing, and we couldn’t find replacement bin bags. There was a large number of insects in, which meant we ended up with all windows shut for the duration, as the fly screens didn’t seem effective. We thought we had specified that we were taking a dog, but the host wasn’t expecting this, however it was sorted with a phone call. For us the biggest disappointment was that although each of the three chalets had a defined garden area, the gardens were not sealed off; so we could not let the dog off the lead. We did also struggle to get many TV channels, and if you stood in one part of the room it blanked off the TV signal!" ~Angela
