Appleby House & Rabbit Island Huts offer two different accommodation types and is located between Richmond and Mapua on the road to the Abel Tasman National Park. Situated on 25 acres it offers views of Waimea Estuary, Mt Arthur ranges and farmland. Mapua and Richmond are both 8 minutes' drive away. The property is located 300 metres from the Nelson Great Taste Trail. All room types are separate and private; however guests have access to shared areas such as a kitchen, BBQ, laundry and outdoor entertainment areas. In the morning you can enjoy complimentary locally baked breads accompanied by Appleby House homemade condiments and Rabbit Island Coffee plunger coffee and specialty teas.

This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties. It is not possible to stay at this property for Coronavirus (COVID-19) quarantine purposes. Guests need to meet one or more requirements to stay in this property: proof of full Coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccination, a recent valid negative Coronavirus PCR test, or recent proof of Coronavirus recovery. Please note the hosts do not live on site, however a meet and greet can be arranged for any time.

Free private parking is possible on site (reservation is not needed).
Pets are allowed on request. Charges may be applicable.
Children of any age are allowed. Children 2 years old stay for free when using an available cot. Children up to and including 14 years old stay for NZD 85 per person per night when using an existing bed. People no matter the age stay for NZD 110 per person per night when using an available extra bed. Any type of extra bed or child's cot/crib is upon request and needs to be confirmed by management. Supplements are not calculated automatically in the total costs and will have to be paid for separately during your stay.
