"Pros: The house is in a great location in a very picturesque setting amongst the trees by a stream. The modern kitchen was really well fitted out with everything anyone would need and more - although paper kitchen towels would have been handy. The bathroom is basic but clean enough. The beds were firm but both couples found their beds comfortable, with extra blankets available. Plenty of bedroom storage but only in drawers - nowhere to hang dresses etc. There was enough room for both of our cars in the driveway. Lovely visits from a very cute, friendly neighbourhood cat were a bonus! Cons: Some other reviews (here and on other sites) have mentioned a mouldy/musty smell. We did notice the smell each time we returned to the house but for us it quickly disappeared (within minutes), except in the smallest twin bedroom (we only used it to store suitcases) which always smelt slightly musty. There was no visible sign of mould. The slight smell did not cause us a problem, but if you have a very sensitive sense of smell or a major aversion to mould, this property may not be for you. Took me a while to get used to the solartube skylight in our bedroom - there is no blind/cover for it so the room gets light in the morning. The absence of a heated towel rail in the bathroom made drying towels difficult, but we solved this by using the w/m and dryer part way through our stay to wash all towels and the bath mat. Please note that it is an old property with single glazing, but there was a heat pump in the lounge/kitchen area, a bathroom heater, and heaters and electric blankets in the bedrooms. As it was summer, we didn't test any of these out, but no reason to think it couldn't be made warm." ~Sue

"Pros: Breakfast was available on the property and the food was great! The setup was also very homey. Cons: I hope there were available napkins in the kitchen and also a replacement tissue box in the rooms." ~Feamor
