"Pros: This place exceeded our expectations. We happened to arrive at the same time as our host was outside,so he showed us down the drive (it is clearly marked anyway but it was lovely to be greeted on arrival). Gerrit and Elmien are fabulous hosts. So friendly and helpful. The accommodation isn't overly big but was perfect for us. Each bedroom having an ensuite was wonderful, as we were two couples staying. The reason for our trip to New Plymouth was for cycling so it was an absolute bonus to discover that we were right on a fantastic cycle / walkway to the Coastal Walkway. A highlight of the property for us was the awesome fire pit. We spent both nights around the fire enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The hosts generously supplied us with some wood too!!! It is a very quiet place to stay being surrounded by bush. You won't be disappointed if you choose to stay here. Thank You Gerrit and Elmien for a wonderful stay" ~Roleen
