Free breakfast, free WiFi and free parking are all included at The River Lodge, offering spacious rooms with satellite TV. You can relax in the 6-person hot tub or in a hammock beside the river. Featuring spectacular Mount Ruapehu and Mangawhero River views, The River Lodge Ohakune is situated about 8 km from Ohakune town centre. It is a 35-minute drive to the chairlifts at Turoa Ski Area. Guests have access to BBQ facilities, large viewing decks around the lodge and luggage storage. There is also a laundry service. Both the guest lounge and the conservatory have a warming fireplace. The River Lodge staff can help guests organise local activities such as trout fishing guides, summer walks and organise transport such as snow shuttles during winter and volcanic flights. Each room includes a en suite bathroom with bathrobes and hairdryer. Complimentary tea/coffee and in-room heaters are provided. All cottages have a fireplace.

Please inform The River Lodge in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. Payment before arrival via bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions. If you expect to arrive after 21:00, please contact the property prior to 15:00 on the day of arrival using the contact details found on the booking confirmation. Please note that access to The River Lodge is from the Raetihi Ohakune Road end of Mangawhero River Road. Burns Street is a no through road.

Pets are allowed on request. Charges may be applicable.
Children of any age are allowed. Children 6 years old stay for free when using an available cot. Children 15 years old stay for NZD 30 per person per night when using an available extra bed. People 16 years old and over stay for NZD 60 per person per night when using an available extra bed. Any type of extra bed or child's cot/crib is upon request and needs to be confirmed by management. Supplements are not calculated automatically in the total costs and will have to be paid for separately during your stay.
