"Pros: This place is totally unique so hard to compare with others. It is quirky and eclectic in so many ways - almost a living museum. We love this sort of quirkiness but being such an old and remote place this does come with its downsides as well as its pluses. We had dinner on arrival - a bit of a Fawlty Towers experience with mixed up and forgotten orders by the overworked lady working on the night we visited but everyone there took it in their stride and enjoyed the 'show'! There is a comfortable open fire to keep diners warm. We spent a lot of time just looking around the hotel at all the unusual items, both inside and out. Our en suite room, complete with four poster bed, was comfortable if a little lopsided with a very efficient electric heater. Free cereal and milk was available for breakfast plus the use of a toaster and kettle in a common room or breakfasts could be bought in the cafe downstairs. The shower was great. The location in the deep mountain valley was quite dramatic.
Cons: The cereal boxes in the common room were open and unsealed so we weren't prepared to risk using them. Our room was not 100% clean - especially underneath the bed which didn't seem to have been swept for a while. The bathroom lacked space or a table to store toiletries."

"Pros: I really like the instructions that the host gave us before our stay. So nothing was unexpected. We also liked the place because it has a good vibe and felt quite cozy.. the batch itself was quite old fashioned but that part we liked also. It was a good rest for one night! You could say that it is not the most convenient place to stay, but the atmosphere was really good. Also the place felt clean"
