"Pros: Great location .Russell is a fantastic place.
Easy access to so many of the islands in the Bay of Islands.
Iconic building and so close to great places to eat and use of the hotel gym.I did a great class with Nadine from Outfit North.
Cons: The hotel needs to be more honest about some of the rooms.We were in a small room 132 - size was fine but it was so close to the A/C or chiller unit outside which seemed to run all night.We were offered ear plugs !
The reception staff were quite surly and lacked customer facing hospitality skills.The kitchen and serving staff were great but seemed very overworked and very stretched."
