"Pros: We have been traveling through NZ for 5 weeks and our stay at Rocky Ridge was the very best! Three nights was not long enough...so much to do and see, the location was ideal. But it was the cottage that made us the happiest. The cottage is unbelievable! The outdoor sitting area was outstanding, the outdoor bath tub was a highlight, the firepit was fantastic, and our hosts were outstanding. The attention to detail and the quality of the cottage was top-notch! We really wished we stayed here for one week. This is a must stay place! Thank you, Jean, for the most amazing Kiwi hospitality. We will always remember our stay her with so much fondness.
Cons: We should have rented this beautiful cottage for a week, and not three nights."

Ashley Villa, built in 1891 is set amongst farmland in beautiful Golden Bay. It provides a unique country homestead experience. Takaka is 7km away. Guests have access via the main front door to the upstairs bedrooms, plus bathroom and small lounge area. A small fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster, plus crockery, cutlery and glassware, are provided in the lounge area, along with tea, coffee, milk and sugar. Continental breakfast is served downstairs in the farmhouse kitchen and includes cereal, fruit, yogurt, toast and spreads. The hostess occupies the downstairs area of the house and is available to offer local knowledge and assist with any other queries. The area offers numerous art and craft outlets, many cafes and restaurants, mountain bike trails and a main street where all basic necessities can be purchased. Nelson Airport is 105 km away.
