"Pros: The location was a perfect start to our Northland journey of memories We liked everything about Kotare House especially our Kakariki Room which had stupendous views out over the ocean and bush and one of the most comfortable beds we have slept in. The art works were amazing and a real point of difference which helps make Kotare House stand out for us. That and the conversation we had with our hosts about the "Kiwi Bridge"" ~Beverley

"Pros: Everything was lovely. The flat was so easy to be in and beautiful decorated with pieces of art. The views awesome. There was a lot of thought by the hosts in all the little things they have done or have available to make your stay great. Would stay again and would recommend. Cons: Thought I had booked a flat with 2 bathrooms but had 1. No issue for the one night we stayed. The other guests next door left their bathroom light on all night and this lights up our area. No way to block it out as all doors have windows above. All minor, none of this distracted from our stay." ~Ellen

"Pros: A truly exceptional property in an amazing location surrounded by native bush and pretty gardens. Stunning views, decks to front and rear spacious well appointed interior. Some unique features include bananas growing in the garden, two species of native parrots flying overhead and the sounds of Kookaburras calling to each other. Hosts are charming and most helpful, we plan to return for longer" ~Graham
