"Pros: Te Anau is a lovely, quiet small town on a large beautiful lake. Worthy of a few days visit. The Mayflower Cottage is large and comfortable and has a small exterior garden area for sitting. Located in a very convenient location for easy access to Milford Sound area, the Glow Worm trip or for just resting in Te Anau. Definitely would stay in this cottage again.
Cons: Parking was a little tight for me (since I am new to driving on the right side of the car) lol"

"Pros: Fun having the multiple room/cabin options where the kids could each have their own separate cabin if they wanted. Our kids (13, 16 years) loved that. Note there are also 2 bedrooms in the main building as well (so 5 "rooms" in total). Everything was clean and comfortable. Very easy walking access to the lake, didn't manage to use the kayaks but enjoyed using the bikes to cycle around the lake. Would love to stay again.
Cons: Nothing really. Only minor comment is that the toilet/bathroom is only in the main building but if that is a concern you have the 2 bedrooms in the main building anyway (which we didn't need to use). The cooking facility is a little small but we had no issue with that."
