"Pros: It's an older hotel but grand; and an amazing location. I had one of the rooms with a view and I couldn't believe how beautiful the view was. The lobby was such a nice place to sit and have a tea or drink in and watch the cars and buses go by the hairpin turns. Watching the sun go down on the fjord was spectacular. The walk down and back to the village gave you fabulous views of the hotel looking back on my way down, and getting closer on my way back up. It's like an old Victorian (but don't think it's that old) kind of hotel; with a formal dining room which had a delicious dinner.
Cons: There wasn't any elevator, which is fine, but it was hard for me getting my suitcase up from my car to the floor I was on. But not terrible, but for someone who is older, they'd need help. Rooms are dated but the location and grandness of the hotel in other ways meant I didn't care about that." ~Rebecca
