"Pros: It was a scam. They moved me to a hostel (not a hotel) which was clearly of low standard like lower end of 2* which was not what we paid for. Booking.com tried to iron it out by a compensation which covers at best half the price difference differential whereas the extremely bad experience is not compensated. It really makes booking.com a questionable provider and bear in mind me and my family already booked several times through booking.com. "Pros: The alternative accommodation we were provided was in a convenient location Cons: We did not stay in the accommodation that we booked. We were advised the afternoon that we were checking in of the exact address, which was a totally different area. We were apparently upgraded, and they advised us that our original booking was of a room, with shared kitchen/ lounge. However, when we booked, it showed as whole apartment, which is why we booked it. Very unhappy about the lack of communication, and the misleading advertising of this property on booking.com The alternative accommodation we were given was ok, but there was no dining table, missing bowls in kitchen, clothes dryer did not work." ~Gabby
