The "book town" of Tvedestrand is only 5 minutes away by car, with plenty of shops and restaurants within the charming old town centre. You can reach Arendal within a small half hour along the coastal road, the capital of Aust Agder. The coast and the inland both offer nature experiences with fishing and bathing in the sea and lakes.
