"Pros: Very spacious and absolutely new villa with pool very near to Wadi Tiwi and Wadi Shab. The Tiwi beach is also near and amazing - best beach on our trip.
Cons: The villa is new and very nice, but the building quality is very poor. There was rain during our visit and windows started leaking and there was water all across the staircase. Washing machine was advertised as being included. It is a very basic washing machine that needs a lot of manual operation (fill in water manually, drain manually, repeat the cycle manually, transfer all the clothes to spinning compartment and to start the spin manually). It is located outside and during rain we could not use it because of the danger of short circuit due to poor electric wiring. In fact there was a short circuit happening because the rain water got into some outside lamps and we were without electricity for a while. It was an adventurous stay. The staff was helpful though and tried their best to assist.
There is no internet, no wifi.
We even had some unwanted visitors - cockroaches. I guess this comes with the location - the villa is located in very dilapidated part of town. I guess this will change in a year or two as all the neighbouring building will be torn down and rebuilt.
We had to ask extra for toilet paper and towels - there was none at arrival. This is basic stuff!" ~Boris
"Pros: Proximity to Wadi Shab and being right by the sea.
Cons: Not signposted so we had difficulty finding it.
This place should be called Wadi Shab guesthouse or rest house, not resort." ~Clare
"Pros: Fantastic place, spacious room with a comfy bed, clean bathroom, phenomenal balcony to watch the sunrise. Comfy communal area to meet other travelers (has fridge, tea, kitchen etc) Strong wifi and clear&responsive communication. I booked last minute, and everything worked out great. It was easy to find, staff was on point and helpful. Parking spaces in front of the door. The location is brilliant. 6 minutes walk to the beginning of the Wadi Shab trail. (I went at 6am and got back by 9:30 - enough time for a shower to head on daisy fresh)" ~Jessica
