"Pros: This building, a former home, had been renovated very tastefully, has lofty ceilings and fine detail. The apartment was exceptionally spacious. Very clean and fitted with plenty of cupboards and storage. Plenty of space for dining and sofa lounging and cooking areas, enough for many more people but there was only two of us. There were two large TV's and we had access to Netflix, Amazon Prime and many others which we didn't get time to use. The bedroom was very large, with another large walk in wardrobe area & large en-suite. at the back was a spiral staircase to a nice private outdoor space. The location was near Bolivar Square and a short walk to the French Square.
Cons: When we arrived we were pleased to see we were on the first floor. So headed up a long long line of stairs to our door. but directly behind the door was another 2 flights of stairs. We didn't enjoy doing this every day and with cases this wasn't fun. and then when we reached the rather lovely apartment, it felt a little eerie because of it's disconnected and elevated position. The large old windows also all opened out so if you had kids, this is not the safest place to stay overlooking the central atrium drop. Next door were locals who looked like they were living in a derelict building, sometimes with loud music playing. There was a fabulous kitchen but lacked any little extras like salt & pepper or a tea towel or a small washing up bottle. The bathrooms too either lacked a hand towel or hand soap." ~O'reilly
