"Pros: Hotel located right on the beach with pool. Less than 15 minutes walk to the town. Room had air con, a TV and a fridge. Shower was really good and bed very comfortable. Different options for breakfast, otherwise food available from 12pm. Staff were very pleasant. Cons: Standard everywhere else we stayed in Peru was a safe box, a kettle and a couple of bottles of complimentary water. Didn’t find them here. Also the electricity went from time to time." ~Sheila

"Pros: The hostess was super nice even though we woke her up after arriving on the night bus. There were plenty of hammocks to lay on and it was a short walk to our favorite part of the Mancora beach. Rooms were clean and surprisingly cool with just a fan. Other reviews mentioned mosquitos and the owner was very attentive about trying to keep them away, but I didn’t think they were bad and didn’t get bit once. It was also super quiet. We had someone staying above us and didn’t even realize it until we saw him walking down the stairs. The neighborhood was also much more interesting than the touristy part of town. Cons: I think the other rooms with the hammocks out front seemed much nicer, but I’m guessing we didn’t get one of those rooms because we had to change our reservation. Also, the water pressure in the shower was kind of low so it was hard to wash the sand off. No major problems, though." ~Domenic
