"Pros: Our weekend at Casa da Amendoeira in Castelo Rodrigo was amazing and a memory our family will hold onto for a long time. We rented all the bedrooms in the house, which worked out perfectly for us. It gave us plenty of space to spend time together while still having our own rooms to relax in. It felt cozy and comfortable, just like home.
The house itself is beautiful. Each room is nicely decorated, super clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The shared spaces were perfect for hanging out as a family, whether we were chatting, playing games, or just enjoying some quiet time together.
The host was fantastic – so friendly and welcoming. They made sure we had everything we needed and were always there to help with any questions or suggestions about things to do in the area. Their kindness really made a difference and made us feel so at home.
Breakfast was a big highlight of the weekend. It was fresh, delicious, and had a great variety of options that everyone in the family enjoyed. From the local flavors to the homemade treats, it was a wonderful way to start each day.
The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Castelo Rodrigo. We loved walking around the village, exploring the old streets, and taking in the beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. It was peaceful, relaxing, and gave us the chance to slow down and really enjoy our time together.

"Pros: Village location means you can go out to bars and restaurants of which there are several in the town - we went to the A Certa restaurant and had an amazing meal for a great price.
Cons: It feels a bit tired. Maybe a lick of paint and some spring-cleaning."
