"Pros: The host was quite friendly. The house had everything that we needed and was quite comfortable.
Cons: The house had a strange smell when we walked in, like perhaps a dog had stayed there but it soon dissipated." ~Cynthia
"Pros: Clean. Peaceful. Smooth check in. Safe. Lovely rooms.
A great place to rest hiking the Rota Vicentina. Being able to make a coffee is a lovely touch.
Cons: Nothing." ~Joe
"Pros: It is on the outskirts of a small, quiet village, in a neighbourhood with several newly build homes, Casa de Courela being one of them. The owners are very welcoming. The house is modern and very stylish. There is a large living room where breakfast is served. There are about 4 or 5 bedrooms, one accessible indoors, the others through the garden (which also have a small terrace). The garden has a good sized pool (not heated). If the weather allows it, breakfast is served outside as well. The breakfast is really really good! The owners pull all the stops and keep serving tasty oatmeal, yoghurt with granola, mini pancakes, coffee of choice, daily fresh bread, sweets, fresh orange juice, scrambled eggs, etc. The best!
Cons: Cavaleiro itself is not that interesting and does not have much to offer (but at the same time it is centrally located, e.g. 30 min south of Praia do Almograve, 30 min north of Zambujeira do Mar, 45 min north of Praia de Odeceixe (all three recommended)." ~Paul
